Hello, I’m Marianna Ananiadou –the founder of XRdesignEd.

I’m an educator, instructional designer, and lifelong learner passionate about the power of immersive technologies in transforming education and professional training.

With more than two decades of experience in language instruction, translation, and exam preparation, I have guided learners of all ages to achieve their goals in English and German, while also serving as a certified language examiner for international institutions. Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for creating engaging learning experiences that combine academic rigor with creativity.

My educational journey reflects my love for continuous growth and cross-cultural exchange. I’ve had the privilege of living and studying in England, Germany, and the USA, experiences that broadened my perspective and shaped the way I design learning. I hold a Master of Arts in Educational Media from the University of Duisburg-Essen, a Master of Science in Education from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Languages & Translation from the University of Portsmouth. I also earned the ICXR Instructor Certification in immersive learning technologies from Edstutia, which has fueled my transition into the XR and VR industry.

Professionally, I have worked as a language teacher, examiner, translator, and private tutor, as well as in operational and marketing roles. This diverse experience allows me to blend education, business, and technology in unique ways. Today, my focus lies in Instructional Design for XR, where I combine pedagogy, storytelling, and digital tools to create impactful, future-ready learning experiences.

I believe in the importance of balance between body and mind as the key to creativity and positive energy. Through Tae Kwon Do, dance, yoga, pilates, and mindfulness, I stay grounded and energized, bringing that same vitality into the immersive environments I design.
